Dear Sri Lankan Muslims,
We sincerely request you all not to be misguided by believing everything mentioned in Islam as true and acting on it, since Islam is nothing but a mere belief similar to any other religions , legends and myths.
We, ex-Muslims, also had a strong conviction of Islam as you until very recently; until we started to scrutinise the basis of this faith and our scrutiny has led us to renounce the belief in the baseless mythology of Islam.
Based on our experience as Muslims as well the present actions of Muslims, we request you to be vigilant of the consequences of practicing Islam in its entirety. Though we respect other’s right to believe in any faith, we humbly caution you to avoid following Islam in its extreme which may result in undesirable consequences which we, in the past, have witnessed as Muslims.
If any Muslim individual or group induced by the overwhelming Islamic faith , act in a violent or terrible way in retaliation of the racist hatred activities going around against Muslims, would result in adding further fuel to the fire
You all are made to believe that “Islam is the only religion accepted by God” as if the God appeared to you to convey his message.Yet God never appeared to any human being to convey any such message, you have to be aware that Moulavis (clergies) are the ones indoctrinate you with such beliefs.
Religion is a multi-billion dollar tax-free industry. The clerics and some others, who benefit from it, would not approve you of using your critical thinking to scrutinise your beliefs. The All Ceylon Jamiyaththul Ulama and other Islamic movements and organisations are well aware of the fact that their very existence and future is only possible as long as you all are kept in the dark. Therefore they attempt their best to indoctrinate your minds with blind faiths, but you should aware of the consequences and seek the truth on your own.
Islam is a religion which has a history full of episodes of violence, war, martyrdom, Jihad, subjugation of the native population and sexual slavery. Therefore, if anyone of you tries to follow the religion to its extreme level, it would drive you towards violence and terrorism even without your knowledge. This, as we all recognise is throughout Prophet Mohamed’s life in Medina.
The murders which happened few years back in a Masjid in Beruwela, the bloodshed unleashed in Kattankudiya a few months ago by a Jamath connected to ISIS, the attack made against an Islamic group by Muslims in Oddamavadi during recently concluded month of fasting (Ramadan), the attack on one sect of Muslims by another while the former were performing their Eid festival prayers in Vavuniya, the news related to the deaths of ISIS terrorists who went from Sri Lanka and the very recently alarming news about a possible ISIS attack in Colombo are some of the example for the undesirable consequences of Sri Lankan Muslims misguided by Islamic faith.
We plead you to understand that Islam is nothing but a myth and to use your critical ability to avoid practicing the extreme notions promoted within the faith, especially the examples set by Mohamed in his life in Medina. By doing so, you can save the community as well as the country from the brink of disaster which lurking at the moment.
It is paramount that we grant superiority to human wellbeing than any other ideology. So it is our duty to safeguard ourselves from blind faith and use our intellectual capacity to eliminate the negative consequences of following it.
