Mr Farook, a former Muslim from Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India was murdered by Muslims on 16th of this month. The father of two kids, Farook was 31 at the time of his murder.
He was a rationalist who has left Islam a few years back and has engaged in raising questions about the claims of Islam in the light of social media. Unable to answer his questions and tolerate his views, Muslims from his hometown has hacked him to death in a desperate attempt to silence his voice.
Even though this commandment is concealed to non-Muslims, Prophet Mohamed has given direction that those who leave Islam ought to be killed, with no mercy spared. This particular command can be found in the many holy Hadees books including Saheeh Buhari (9:83:17), Saheeh Muslim (16:4152, 16:4154 & 20:4490) and the command is supported by the Qur’anic versus 2:217, 5:54, 9:73 etc. This particular stance of Islam regarding ex-Muslims has forced them to live in a pathetic situation, with the fear of possible threat to their lives.
While the Ex Muslims of Sri Lanka condemn the assassination of Mr. Farook, it is clearly understood that why we are forced to further delay our plans of coming to public.
